TWW Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1 - 100

This War Within Jewelcrafting leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Khaz Algar Jewelcrafting skill up from 1 to 100.

Jewelcrafting is the best combined with Mining because you can save a lot of gold if you gather the materials instead of buying them. You can check out my Mining leveling guide if you want to level Mining.

Jewelcrafting Trainers

You can learn the War Within Jewelcrafting skill from the Jewelcrafting trainer in Dornogal.

Shopping List

This is the total list of materials required to reach 55. The 50-100 part is not included here because there are too many alternatives. The quality doesn't matter. Buy the cheapest.

Leveling Khaz Algar Jewelcrafting

Racial Bonuses

Draenei characters have +5 Jewelcrafting skill because of their passive, and Kul Tiran characters have +2. Any extra Jewelcrafting skill means recipes stay orange for more points. You can save some gold by doing lower level recipes for more points.

First Craft Bonus

You will get 1x Khaz Algar Jewelcrafting Knowledge talent points each time you craft something for the first time. Khaz Algar Jewelcrafting Knowledge is valuable and has a weekly cap from other sources. So, instead of leveling Jewelcrafting and then going back to craft grey recipes, this leveling guide is designed to get the "First Craft Bonus" from most recipes while they give you skill points.

1 - 15

Use Algari Prospecting to prospect 145x Bismuth.

15 - 20

Learn new recipes then craft two from these:

2x Engraved Gemcutter - 10x Handful of Pebbles, 2x Glittering Glass, 10x Bismuth

Craft every gem to get your First Craft Bonuses.

1x Deadly Amber - 1x Ambivalent Amber, 1x Engraved Gemcutter
1x Masterful Amber - 1x Ambivalent Amber, 1x Engraved Gemcutter
1x Versatile Amber - 1x Ambivalent Amber, 1x Engraved Gemcutter
1x Quick Amber - 1x Ambivalent Amber, 1x Engraved Gemcutter

20 - 22

3x Marbled Stone - 12x Handful of Pebbles, 9x Bismuth
1x Radiant Loupes - 1x Radiant Ruby, 4x Crushed Gemstones, 10x Marbled Stone

Equip the Radiant Loupes.

22 - 26

2x Gilded Vial - 12x Glittering Glass, 2x Ambivalent Amber, 6x Crushed Gemstones

Jewelcrafting Specializations

When you hit 25, you will unlock Jewelcrafting specializations.

You'll eventually be able to learn all three specializations, so there's no need to worry about your initial choice. You'll need 50 skill points to unlock the second specialization, 75 for the third.

However, how you spend your Jewelcrafting knowledge points do matter. Don't be too hasty with spending points just now unless you have a clear goal of which direction you want to go. The Knowledge points will be the limited commodity you will never get enough of, and you will always want more of. You can continue leveling Jewelcrafting and return to spending knowledge points a bit later.

I suggest checking out my War Within Jewelcrafting Specialization Guide for some example builds to help you get started.

17x Right-Handed Magnifying Glass - 68x Crushed Gemstones, 17x Decorative Lens

55 - 80

If you picked Gemcutting as your first specialization and already unlocked a gem cut, you should try to craft a few and post them on the Auction House. If they are selling well, you can make them up to 80. They turn yellow at 70, green at 75 and grey at 80.

If you didn't put any points into Gemcutting just skip this part and go to the next section.

Leveling Jewelcrafting to 100

There are a few different way to reach to 100 depending on which recipes are available to you.

Don't forget to learn the last recipe Algari Amber Prism from your trainer when you reach 50. It has has 1-day cooldown but gives guaranteed 2 skill points up to 80.

1. Blasphemite gems

Making Blasphemite gems is the best way to level Jewelcrafting to 100. Each craft gives 3 skill points all the way up to 100. However, since everyone is using these for leveling, you probably won’t sell many of them. If you’re specced into Gemcutting, you could try crafting them at Quality 2—those might sell better.

Unfortunately, all three recipes are random dungeon drops, so you'll need to buy them from the Auction House. To quickly check the prices of all three recipes, head to the Auction House, click on "Recipes" on the left side, and then type "Blasphemite" into the search bar.

Make sure that you don't accidentally buy the Design: Cubic Blasphemia recipe.

360x Crushed Gemstones
15x Engraved Gemcutter

15x Elusive Blasphemite
15x Insightful Blasphemite

There is also a 4th gem Cubic Blasphemia. But, this one doesn't give skill points up to 100. You can make this one up to 75 when it stops giving multiple skill points.

10x Cubic Blasphemia 20x Null Stone, 10x Engraved Gemcutter, 20x Inverted Prism Sold by Griftah in Dornogal
Cost: 250 gold

2. Completing Crafting Orders for skill points

All of these recipes requires Bind on Pickup (BoP) crafting reagents that cannot be purchased from the Auction House. You will have to use the crafting order system to level with these recipes.

Epic Necks and Rings

Every neck and ring recipe requires a Spark of Omen, you can only level with these recipes through the crafting order system.

These will give you 3 skill points each up to 90, but they turn yellow at 90 and stop giving multiple skill points, so you will have to complete a lot of crafting orders to reach 100.

Profession Equipment

These will give you 2 skill points each up to 90, then they turn yellow.

Each of them require 300x Artisan's Acuity, so this is not something that you should craft using your own materials. You will need to use crafting orders.

Public, NPC and Personal Crafting Orders

Once you get your recipes, you can start looking for Crafting Orders.

Public Orders

When you open the Crafting Orders tab, make sure to hit "Search" in the top left corner on the Public Orders tab, they won't load automatically. You probably won't see many crafting orders because players immediately complete them when they are posted.

Unfortunately, public crafting orders haven't gained much popularity among players in Dragonflight, and I don't expect this to change in The War Within. Many players prefer guild or personal crafting orders for better control over item quality and materials. The unpredictability of public orders deters players from using this system, resulting in very few available public orders.

To make matters worse, Public Orders are not cross-realm. You will only see orders from players on the same realm, so if you're on a low-population realm, there may be very few or no Public Orders available.

NPC Orders

Fortunately, the new NPC crafting orders make leveling a bit easier. You will frequently receive epic armor crafting orders, though you may not be able to complete some of them until you acquire more knowledge points.

These orders are player-specific, so other players can't claim them. Consider them like Personal Orders sent to you by NPCs. However, they are randomly generated, so it's not guaranteed that you will receive orders for recipes you can currently craft.

Personal Orders

To level up with Personal Orders, you need to advertise your services on the trade channel. Most players seeking personal orders want a guaranteed rank 5 item, so focus on promoting the recipes you can craft at that quality level.

Additionally, keep an eye on the trade channel in Dornogal to see if any players are looking for items you can craft.

3. PvP Gem Recipes

These PvP gems give 2 skill points until 80 when they turn yellow. They give skill points up to 100, but they will be green from 90. If you are making gold selling them, you can make them all the way to 100, but the last few points will be painfully slow.

Each gem requires a Vicious Bloodstone. These are not BoP, so you can buy them at the Auction House. They are also sold by Hotharn in Dornogal for 2500x Honor.
