With Patch 11.1 now having a launch date (February 25th), I wanted to highlight key profession changes and clear up some misconceptions. This patch doesn't bring sweeping changes to professions, but there are still a few things worth noting.
Table of Contents
- One-Time Profession Knowledge Point Respec
- No Changes to Crafting Stats
- Enchanted Crests
- Additional Knowledge Point Sources
- New Recipes and Patterns
- Profession Tuning Updates
One-Time Profession Knowledge Point Respec
You can reset your profession specialization once per Dragon Isles and once per Khaz Algar profession in Patch 11.1. This will refund all spent Knowledge Points and unlearn all recipes and specialization benefits tied to your specialization.
Where to Reset Your Specialization:
- Darla Fluxy - Found in Dornogal, outside the Crafter's Enclave.
- Siben - Located in Valdrakken's Artisan's Market, next to the Jewelcrafting station.
Important Notes:
- No questline, no requirements - just a simple reset.
- One-time use per profession - once for Dragon Isles, once for Khaz Algar.
- You'll lose specialization-specific recipes and perks but will relearn them if you reinvest.
No Changes to Crafting Stats
- There are no changes to Multicraft or Resourcefulness in Patch 11.1.
- The previously discussed changes were never confirmed for this patch.
- The 11.1 PTR is now a Release Candidate, meaning no further changes are expected.
Enchanted Crests
No new Enchanted Crest recipes in 11.1 for Enchanters. Instead, players can buy Enchanted Crests directly from Syenite in Dornogal. This cuts enchanters out of the process, likely lowering their income.
Additional Knowledge Point Sources
Once reaching Renown 16 with the new faction, each profession will have access to 10 additional Knowledge Points. A late unlock that won't help most players.
The knowledge books are sold by Smaks Topskimmer.
