Shadowlands Blacksmithing Leveling Guide 1 - 100

This Shadowlands Blacksmithing leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Shadowlands Blacksmithing skill up from 1 to 100.

This guide's primary focus is leveling Blacksmithing, but you can visit my Shadowlands Blacksmithing Guide if you want to read more about the new changes, Blacksmithing bonuses, and recipes.

Blacksmithing is the best combined with Mining, and I highly recommend to level Mining and Blacksmithing together because you will need a lot of gold if you want to buy everything from Auction House. Check out my Mining leveling guide if you're going to level Mining.

Shadowlands Blacksmithing Trainer Location

You can learn Shadowlands Blacksmithing from Smith Au'berk in Oribos in the Hall of Shapes. (Coordinates: 40.4, 31.6)

Oribos is the new Shadowlands city hub for both factions. You will arrive there after you finish the Shadowlands intro quests, so you can learn the new profession recipes before you head out questing.

You can buy Luminous Flux from Distributor Au'til. He is around 30 yards to the west from the Blacksmithing trainer.

Racial Bonuses

Some races have a profession skill bonus as a racial trait, allowing recipes to remain orange for 2-5 extra points. This means you can save gold by crafting lower-level recipes to gain additional skill points.

These races are:

  • Lightforged Draenei: +5 skill
  • Dark Iron Dwarves:+5 skill
  • Kul Tiran: +2 skill

Leveling Shadowlands Blacksmithing

1 - 50

You can buy Luminous Flux and Blacksmith Hammer from Distributor Au'til. He is around 30 yards to the west from the Blacksmithing trainer.

I recommend making items that require more Luminous Flux than an alternative recipe because those items sell for a lot more. The extra gold negates the extra Luminous Flux cost, and you will end up with a few more gold after vendoring the items.

  • 40 - 45
    7 x Ceremonious Blade - 35 Laestrite Ore

    You might have to make a few more.

50 - 70

  • 50-60
    20 x 2 x Shadowghast Ingot - 20 Solenium Ore, 20 Sinvyr Ore, 20 Phaedrum Ore, 20 Oxxein Ore, 80 Luminous Flux

    You will need more than a hundred to reach 100, so just make these until it turns grey. These are basically free skill points. However, you shouldn't make all of them now because there are a few other ways to gain skill points, and you might need fewer. Making around 20 should get you to 60.

Blacksmithing World Quests in Shadowlands

A Blacksmithing World quest will pop up every few days in one of the Shadowlands zones. They all give +1 Shadowlands Blacksmithing skill point. Just look for a little Blacksmithing icon on your world map. (requires level 60)

So, if you don't want to rush to 100, you can save some gold by completing these quests.

70 - 100

  • 70-80

    10 x Shadowsteel Gauntlets - 50 Laestrite Ore, 70 Shadowghast Ingot, 10 Elethium Ore

    This recipe will be yellow for the last few points, so you might have to make more.
