This Medium Leather farming guide will show you the places that I use for farming Medium Leather in Classic WoW. The guide can be used for TBC Classic too because there were no major changes to any of the old zones.
Medium Leather
Duskwood
The best place to farm Medium Leather is at the Rotting Orchard in Duskwood. Start at the first area marked with one, clear the mobs outside and inside of Roland's Doom cave, then go to Rotting Orchard until the mobs respawn.
Duskwood is an Alliance zone, so I mostly recommend this farming place for Alliance players. But, Grom'gol is pretty close, so high-level horde players can easily get there too.
Mob level: 28-31
Ashenvale
For Horde players, I recommend farming Terrowulf Fleshrippers, Terrowulf Shadow Weavers in Ashenvale. There are always a few of them up in the marked area, so you will never run out of them.
1. Go to the marked area and clear every mob on the road leading up to the cave.
2. Go inside the cave and keep killing the mobs until they stop respawning. They will often keep respawning right on top of you.
3. Once the mobs stop respawning inside the cave, go outside and clear the mobs in front of the cave and also on the road that leads to the cave.
4. Go back inside the cave and repeat steps 2. and 3.
Mob level: 28-30
Hillsbrad Foothills
Killing Cave Yetis, Ferocious Yetis inside Foothill Caverns in Hillsbrad Foothills is a great source of Medium Leather. But, higher-level players might clear the cave too fast and will have to wait 1-2 minutes for respawns, so I would recommend this to players who are still leveling.
Mob level: 30-32
Wetlands
There are always a few Mottled Scytheclaws, Mottled Razormaws at Whelgar's Excavation Site in Wetlands, so you can never run out of mobs to kill. This is a very good place for farming Medium Leather if your level is not high enough to farm at the previous places.
Mob level: 25-27
Stonetalon Mountains
Stonetalon Mountains is a good alternative place for lower-level players. Kill and skin Pridewing Skyhunters, Pridewing Wyverns, Pridewing Consorts at the marked area. Most of them are up on the mountain.
Mob level: 22-24
The Barrens
Just like Stonetalon Mountains, I would mostly recommend this for lower-level players who cannot farm higher-level mobs. Kill and skin Stormhides, Hecklefang Stalkers, Greater Thunderhawks.
