Vanilla Alchemy Leveling Guide 1-300 (Midnight)

This Vanilla Alchemy leveling guide will show you the fastest way to level your Alchemy skill up from 1 to 300 as inexpensively as possible.

This guide has two versions. Make sure you pick the one that matches the game you are playing:

Retail WoW "Vanilla" 1-300 skill bar in current Retail (Midnight)

This is NOT a WoW Classic guide. If you play on a Classic Era, Hardcore, or Season of Discovery realm (the standalone WoW Classic client), use my WoW Classic Alchemy Leveling Guide 1-300 instead.

This page is for the "Classic" 1-300 skill bar in Retail WoW (Midnight). In your in-game profession window in Retail, this is the first skill bar labeled Classic. I call this guide "Vanilla" in the title only to keep it apart from the actual WoW Classic guide above (Blizzard naming both Classic is the reason these two guides get mixed up so often).

Leveling Vanilla Alchemy

1 - 155

You can find Crystal Vial at "Alchemy Supplies" vendors, they are usually near the Alchemy trainer.

Goblin characters have +15 Alchemy skill because of their passive Better Living Through Chemistry. An extra 15 Alchemy skill means recipes stay orange/yellow for 15 more points. You can save a lot of gold by doing lower-level recipes for 15 more points.

  • 1-60
    60x Minor Healing Potion - 60 Peacebloom, 60 Silverleaf

    Keep all of these for the next recipe. You might not reach 60, but it doesn't matter.

  • 60-100
    60x Lesser Healing Potion - 50 Minor Healing Potion, 50 Briarthorn

    The recipe will be yellow for the last few points, so you might not reach 100, but you can still go to the next recipe.

  • 110-140
    33x Healing Potion - 33 Bruiseweed, 33 Briarthorn

    This recipe will be yellow for the last 5 points, so you might have to make a few extra.

  • 140-155
    18x Lesser Mana Potion - 18 Mageroyal, 18 Stranglekelp

    This recipe will be yellow for the last 10 points, so you might have to make a few extra.

155 - 215

  • 175-185
    10x Mana Potion - 10 Stranglekelp, 10 Kingsblood

215 - 300

  • 215-240
    28x Superior Healing Potion - 28 Sungrass, 28 Khadgar's Whisker

    This recipe will be yellow for the last few points, so you might have to make a few extra.
