Vanilla Enchanting Leveling Guide 1-300 (Midnight)

This guide has two versions. Make sure you pick the one that matches the game you are playing:

This Enchanting leveling guide will show you the fastest way to level your Enchanting skill up from 1 to 300 as inexpensively as possible.

Materials Required

This is the list of approximate materials required to level Enchanting to 300.

This is NOT a WoW Classic guide. If you play on a Classic Era, Hardcore, or Season of Discovery realm (the standalone WoW Classic client), use my WoW Classic Enchanting Leveling Guide 1-300 instead.

This page is for the "Classic" 1-300 skill bar in Retail WoW (Midnight). In your in-game profession window in Retail, this is the first skill bar labeled Classic. I call this guide "Vanilla" in the title only to keep it apart from the actual WoW Classic guide above (Blizzard naming both Classic is the reason these two guides get mixed up so often).

Learning Enchanting

Walk up to a guard in any of these major cities below and ask where the Enchanting trainer is located.

Horde: Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon City, Undercity
Alliance: Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, The Exodar

After you ask the guard, the trainer will be marked with a red flag on your map.

1 - 110

Blood Elf characters have +5 Enchanting skill because of their passive Arcane Affinity. An extra 5 Enchanting skill means recipes stay orange for 5 more points, so you can save some gold by doing lower level recipes for 5 more points.

You can put enchants on an Enchanting Vellum if you can't put it on your own armor because it's too high level. Enchanting Vellum is sold by General Goods vendors or Enchanting Supply vendors near your trainer.

    1x Runed Copper Rod - 1 Copper Rod, 1 Strange Dust, 1 Lesser Magic Essence

    You can buy the Copper Rod from the Enchanting supply vendor near your trainer.

  • 2-90
    105x Enchant Bracer: Minor Health - 105 Strange Dust

    This recipe will be yellow for the last 20 points, so you might have to craft a few more.

  • 90-100
    10x Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina - 30 Strange Dust

    If the Strange Dust is cheap and the Greater Magic Essence is too expensive on your realm, you can make this Enchant up to 120.

  • 100-110
    10x Greater Magic Wand - 10 Simple Wood, 10 Greater Magic Essence

    You can buy Simple Wood from Enchanting Supply vendors near your trainer or any Generals Goods vendor.

110 - 220

  • 110-130
    20x Minor Stamina - 20 Lesser Eternal Essence, 40 Light Illusion Dust
  • 180-220
    55x Enchant Bracer: Strength - 55 Light Illusion Dust

    This recipe will be yellow for the last 20 points, so you might have to craft more than 55.

220 - 300

  • 220-245
    28x Superior Health - 56 Rich Illusion Dust

    Yellow for the last 5 points, so you might have to craft more.

  • 275-290
    15x Greater Agility - 45 Greater Eternal Essence, 45 Rich Illusion Dust
