Cataclysm Classic Cooking Leveling Guide 1-525

This Cataclysm Classic Cooking leveling guide will show you the fastest way to level your Cooking skill up from 1 to 525 in Cataclysm Classic.

I recommend trying Zygor's 1-85 Leveling Guide if you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt. The guide will help you to reach level 85 a lot faster.

The Recipe: Roast Raptor is sold by Hammon Karwn and by Keena in Arathi Highlands.

• Make Soothing Turtle Bisque if you can get some Turtle Meat.

• Make Mithril Headed Trout if you can buy cheap Raw Mithril Head Trout. The recipe is sold by these vendors.

Spotted Yellowtail is the only recipe from the trainer, the rest of them are from vendors.

Recipe: Monster Omelet	Sold by Himmik in Winterspring at Everlook. He is inside the inn Or by Malygen (Alliance only) in Felwood.
Recipe: Tender Wolf Steak	Sold by Dirge Quikcleave in Tanaris.
Recipe: Filet of Redgill	Sold by Kelsey Yance at Booty Bay. (He is in the large building at the end of the ship dock in Booty Bay. Enter the building and make an immediate left.)

40x Juicy Bear Burger - 40x Bear Flank

You must complete two Silithus quests for this cooking recipe.

You can farm the needed 15x Sandworm Meat from Dredge Strikers and Dredge Crushers in Silithus.

Recipe: Ravager Dog is sold by Cookie One-Eye (Horde) and Sid Limbardi (Alliance) in Hellfire Peninsula.

You have to complete a quest chain for Recipe: Buzzard Bites. You can pick up the first quest from Legassi in Hellfire Penninsula. /way 49.2 74.8

You have 3 choices now.

• Recipe: Talbuk Steak and Recipe: Roasted Clefthoof is sold by Nula the Butcher (Horde) and by Uriku (Alliance) in Nagrand. (read the Kurenai part below if you can't talk to Uriku)
• Recipe: Warp Burger is sold by Innkeeper Grilka (Horde) and by Supply Officer Mills in Terrokar Forest.

Kurenai Reputation

Alliance characters start as 'Unfriendly' with the Kurenai, so you can't buy recipes from Uriku if you haven't completed any Kurenai quests.

1. Talk to Ikuti at the Orebor Harborage. Pick up Ango'rosh Encroachment and Daggerfen Deviance from him.
2. Interact with the Wanted Poster near Ikuti and pick up the Wanted: Chieftain Mummaki quest. (if you face him, the poster is to your left)
3. Completing these 3 quests will give you enough reputation to reach Neutral with the Kurenai faction then Uriku will sell you her cooking recipes.

There are other ways to reach neutral. This is just how I did it with my characters.

WotLK Cooking (350-450)

Learn Grand Master Cooking from your trainer.

350 - 365

Pick up the Northern Cooking quest from one of these trainers below.

• Howling Fjord: Thomas Kolichio / Brom Brewbaster
• Borean Tundra: Orn Tenderhoof / Rollick MacKreel

You will need 4x Chilled Meat to complete the quest and it will teach you the Northern Stew recipe. Make around 23 to reach 365

The recipe will be yellow, so you might have to make more.

365 - 400

Make around 70 from any of these recipes below.

Rhino Meat, Worm Meat, Shoveltusk Flank, or Fangtooth Herring will probably be the cheapest.

Cooking Daily Quests

From this point, every recipe will be purchased with Chef's Award. This currency is rewarded for completing daily cooking quests for Marogg in Orgrimmar and for Robby Flay in Stormwind City.

Once you have enough awards, you can buy recipes from Shazdar in Orgrimmar and Bario Matalli in Stormwind City. One recipe usually costs 3x Chef's Award

450 - 475

Check the Auction House prices for the fish/meat listed below, choose the cheapest one, then buy about 20-25.

Striped Lurker - Recipe: Lightly Fried Lurker
Lavascale Catfish - Recipe: Lavascale Fillet
Blood Shrimp - Recipe: Whitecrest Gumbo
Monstrous Claw - Recipe: Seasoned Crab
Snake Eye - Recipe: Salted Eye

The easiest item to farm is Blood Shrimp if you want to farm the reagents. Blood Shrimp can be found in Abyssal Clam, which is dropped by most mobs in Vashj'ir.

475 - 500

Check the Auction House prices for the fish/meat listed below and choose the cheapest one, then buy about 30-35.
